Southbound extension of the Yellow Line. A consortium of Frischmann Prabhu India Ltd, Mumbai, and John McAslan Partners, London, are appointed as Detail Design Consultants (DDC) Architecture for between 9 underground and 1 elevated station.

Design to respond to a fast-track design and construction schedule - targeting the 2010 Commonwealth Games. A thorough appraisal of each station site to assess opportunities and constraints. The station was designed as an extension of the public realm. Optimal ‘sizing’ and structural scheme of the station box. Column-less span in the public areas. Cost-effective solutions. Internal planning as per NFPI guidelines. Micro-level coordination with MEP Design. Interior architectural specifications are to suit fast construction and easy maintenance.
